Haha I wish! If I had a second ride, it'd be something a lot cheaper, older and bashable than a VW

No dramas with this Jetta (it's only three months old though) or the older Jetta. They're solid cars but when it rains, it poursOriginally posted by brimway View PostAre you happy with your jetta and have you had any probs? The Golf is only the second VW I have owned, the first being a type 3. Still have fond memories of it.

Had my first drive of a DSG a couple of weekends ago... a new VW Polo GTI which only comes with the 7 speed DSG. Prior to driving this not sure if I'd have bothered. But it's quite a nice gearbox.. the GTI has about the same amount of power (132kw) and torque (is it 250nm) as a VW GT.
My current drive is a Nissan Twin Turbo with a 4 speed auto. Yes V6's do have plenty of torque to mate with an auto trans. But the GTI Polo is quite a nice drive. Not sure if I'd be using the flappy paddles too much.
Generally a manual driver but the beauty of an auto/DSG in traffic is hard to beat.
