Thanks, short stay, got called away. What do you drive, I think there was only 1 VAG car there last Thursday.

Knew you had a Jetta but as I didn't see a Jetta there, I thought you might be lucky and have 2 rides.

Haha I wish! If I had a second ride, it'd be something a lot cheaper, older and bashable than a VW

Are you happy with your jetta and have you had any probs? The Golf is only the second VW I have owned, the first being a type 3. Still have fond memories of it.

No dramas with this Jetta (it's only three months old though) or the older Jetta. They're solid cars but when it rains, it pours

I love the look of Jettas, amazing that they share so much with the Golf yet take on a different look, I think anyway

Had my first drive of a DSG a couple of weekends ago... a new VW Polo GTI which only comes with the 7 speed DSG. Prior to driving this not sure if I'd have bothered. But it's quite a nice gearbox.. the GTI has about the same amount of power (132kw) and torque (is it 250nm) as a VW GT.

My current drive is a Nissan Twin Turbo with a 4 speed auto. Yes V6's do have plenty of torque to mate with an auto trans. But the GTI Polo is quite a nice drive. Not sure if I'd be using the flappy paddles too much.

Generally a manual driver but the beauty of an auto/DSG in traffic is hard to beat.

My '07 GT is DSG & its the best box i've driven. I've had autos & sticks in the past

D is great for when there's a lady present & S is there for a bit of paddle fun
