Hey has anyone had a knocking noise going over sppeed humps even at a slow speed? i have noticed a thump from front left side occasionally, not every time but. had a quick look under car but cant see anything that could be causing it. anyone had a simillar problem or knows what it could be ?

I had a similar problem in a Polo GTI, and it turned out to be missing a rear rubber grommet that kept the airbox stable. I shoved a rag between the airbox and firewall and noise was gone, so I got the new part for ten bucks or so from VW. -
I also have this but under moderate acceleration/braking and sometimes when I turn.
