    True, just a bit annoying having to go to VW every time you think about changing it for whatever reason. Plus I don't want to pay them just to change settings once.

        Does anyone know if the coding can be changed to show the speed (digital) as per the newer MFD? I kind of like it in my R36 and wouldn't mind the same in the R32.

          But my WD6050 navi/hifi etc head unit with iGO8 does.

            Any GPS unit will show those specs/details.

            The MFD speed display came out with the MKVI Golf and subsequent models (i.e 6R Polo)

              Next time your car is in for a service they should be able to do it free of charge. My last service was a major one and not done at a dealership and they still managed to change a few settings for me at no charge, like the 1 touch unlocking all door function. As someone else mentioned you could always buy your own cable.
