Looking very nice! Good to see none of the parts got damaged in the flood. Love the grill, I think the dark grey colours (or the white) really set it off!

Btw I took your advice and got the r grilles on and you were right they weren't much effort at all.

It is a MK5,but MY10,which came out at the end of 2009.
Most of the changes were very small and cosmetic,eg Alloy wheels, steering wheels.

I don't think I'll be at Harry's on Thursday night as I'm down the Coast for the week. Unless if the weather takes a turn for the worst, I doubt I'll be there.

You have beat me to one mod that i thought i'd be the first to do it.

I'm talking about the colour coding of the chrome strip above the lower vents. In my opinion it gives more focus on the all important centre grille, Good Job! Did take the chrome piece off the top mould to colour code or just take out the whole upper mould piece so they had the colour to match?

So what's your thoughts on the number plate positioning? I'd love to get mine off the centre grille but i dont want to side mount it so it looks like i have a fully sick cooler.

Fingers crossed my prezzie arrives wednesday or thursday.

P.S Pics of coils as soon as it hits the ground.
Thanks man, I'm really happy with how things are progressing (the car's getting dropped as I type this!). I'm not really sure exactly how the spray painter matched the chrome strips, but I know he painted both the chrome strip and the small coloured strip below it because I think it was too difficult to seperate it. I have thought about blackening the badge but I quite like the VW badge the way it is. If I was to do anything to it, I'd be colour matching it to the Platinum Grey. Plate positioning is my next major problem. I'm thinking of bolting two L brackets to the underside of the front lip so they can be removed easily for photos/shows etc. I wouldn't mind side mounting the plates as I will eventually have a hectic front-mount, but not for at least six months now. For now, they're cable tied on and it'll have to do until I sort something out, and I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I call it my Mk5.2 because it's my second Mk5 Jetta. I guess it could be considered the second coming of the Mk5 Jetta (with its revised interior), but I hadn't even considered that! Haha.

I ended up buying a set of 'different' wheels from someone in Sydney, second hand but never used. They'll hopefully go on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I also have to buy a low jack so I can attempt removing those guards, I'm happy at 108mm but you really can't ever be too low.

Ah ha, so now your going to keep us all in suspense, the waiting begins.

I nearly brought a jack earlier this year but decided at the last minute to put the money towards another mod first.

If you find a good one let me know as i'm still in the market and dylan8 is looking for one at the moment, Might be able to get the price down a bit.

I was looking at the aluminium race jacks as they can go quiet low and i know dylan needs something that will go really low.

Do you know what kind of prices you're talking about? I have a mate that can get them for $400, but I'm thinking that's a little steep for the amount of times I'll actually use it.
