Had the Forge Twintercooler, purchased from Rennenhaus, on a for a few weeks, and though since there's not many reviews running around for the system for the GT TSI, (which really annoyed me!) thought I might write a review for people looking at the piece of hardware.
P.S (No installation photos)
What's in the box
* 2x Forge Silicone hoses
* Intercooler
* Associated clamps bolts/screws etc
Probably a good 4 hours to install had a fellow forum members help to install it.
The front bumper needs to be removed, the hoses are difficult to put on as the system is hooked up to the standard intercooler and also to the Forge one.
The Forge instruction are pretty good that are supplied although the only problem we ran into is they recommend to move the drivers side horn to another position where the Xenon washer jets impede the bumper being put back on. So we just ended up using the supplied piece in the stock position and it fit.
There is not much room, in the front and it is a tight fit, so much so that a couple of torx screws didn't manage to match up.
Can't speak on how much it's improved quantitatively however have definitely noticed that fuel consumption is down considerably (an extra 50-100km for a tank).
There is a bit of cutting to the stock fog grills and the bumper, but it's not very noticeable that there is an intercooler hooked up to the car which I am happy with.
