ye driving in the city she let the car roll back a bit and gave the wheels a small scratch on the gutter. But any small scratch is a big scratch.

They have A8 and RS4 replica rims at a reaonable price (although I would have to get something better than the Kumho or Nankang tyres they offer in the pakages)

Has anyone bought their replicas. I'm wondering what the quality is like?
Don't forget Mk5 Golfs are 5x112, you can find the available wheels by searching under Audi A3 (2003-).

Can you please confirm if your wheels were in boxes from Ruotecompany, Italy.

Nothing quite like a white car with dark window tinting. Always looks great

Thanks minigolf. I realised that the wheel wizard was coming up with 5x100, but I didin't know to look for A3 wheels to get around that.

Now I just need to decide whether to buy now or wait until I've worn out the factory rubber a bit more.

Anyone interested in a set of factory GTI wheels with only 2000km on them. They have Bridgestone RE050 tyres.
                What would these be worth?

The old saying applies, you'll get what the market will pay.

I reckon you should be able to get close to $1000. It's luck of the draw really, you might only find a buyer willing to pay $750, or someone may cough up $1500+ for them???

Just put em up for sale and see how you go.

Looks like ill be getting a set of the A8 Replica's.....will probably just go pick them up and get them fitted elsewhere based on feedback from this and other threads on the site!

Shouldnt be any problems getting these in my MkV right? Im not running lower springs or anything and am only getting the 18x8s, not the 19s....well..wish me luck, might go pick them up at lunch time!

Get Tempe to price tyres (whatever type you want - I ordered yokohama). They were competitive on price, and their service was good. Only thing is, if you want them to fit on a weekend, get there early, they get busy real fast.

I have the 18x8 with 45 offset on the GTI, and the fit is great. No problem with rubbing, and they don't poke out. For an 8" rim I reckon 45 is close to perfect.

Sounds promising....How much extra were the Yokohama's?

hey just remembered, the vw caps tend to fall off while driving. ive had 2 fall off. they sand the back of the vw cap (the clips) so they fit nicely otherwise the caps stick out. if they sand them too much they end up being too loose on the wheels. i guess your not fitting the wheels there so they wont touch your caps. just make sure theyre not sanded and just test them to see how tight they are clipped on the wheels. and this is if your going ahead with the A8's

Thanks for the tip, yeah im getting the A8's, im just getting them to stick the tyres on the rims, then going to a mate at beaurepaires to get them balanced and aligned, ill make sure they stay away from the caps i guess! Why do they have to sand them back ? Dont they fit out of the box?

ye they dont fit properly im thinking maybe the wheels are made for audi and the caps are audi caps. the VW symbol is a sticker on the cap.
