Replica Wheels

I'm looking for a set of 18" wheels for the GTI and came across some Audi replicas from Tempe Tyres.

They have A8 and RS4 replica rims at a reaonable price (although I would have to get something better than the Kumho or Nankang tyres they offer in the pakages)

Has anyone bought their replicas. I'm wondering what the quality is like?

Tempe tyres list 17 and 18" replicas, just use the wheel wizard.

I got prices from ABI for some R32 replicas and they were charging a lot more than tempe tyres. ($2200 for 18" wheels without tyres)
Prices at Tempe are $1600 with Kumho rubber for 18" A8 or RS4 replicas.

Price for 17" is a few hundred less.

Our Jetta has a set of original RS4 replicas from Tempe. Kuhmo's were supplied. Quality seems good and they arrived nicely packed and wrapped on a pallet from the East.

The 1st set (Devino) are not available in the Golf V stud pattern (5x112).
Not sure about the 2nd set, but most Lenso wheels I've checked out are only available in Jap patterns.

I've only ever had drama's with Tempe. Have bought 3 times from them and have had all sorts turn up: spacers, rusting, incorrect offsets, etc

Check with Bob Jane, they also do VAG replica's and Enkei have a lokk-a-like MkV R32 rim. May be a bit dearer, but warrantied and a HELL of a lot easier to deal with.

JMHO....maybe just unlucky

Tempe Tyres

I bought a set of genuine VW 17 x 7.5 GTI wheels for $500 plus $60 for delivery to Tasmania.
They arrived in 3 business days, were exactly as described ( taken from a new car so no damage or marks, very clean ), packaged properly.
They also offered tyres, any brand and advised on what I SHOULD pay my local tyre supplier. BTW, Tempe Tyres quoted prices for tyres were still WAY cheaper than Tassie local tyre dealers.
My dealings were with Dave, a bloody good bloke from my experience.

Your experiences may vary but this is mine and I'm happy to recommend them.

I have the Audi A8 19" replicas with khumo tyres.
go to Tempe Tyres, buy the wheels + tyres and then get the hell outta there.
do the suspension and all the rest somewhere else.

thanks boys, my sister drove my car the other day scratched one of my wheels, wasnt happy at all. hope those wheel repairers do good jobs
