Hi all,
I was just interested to know how many people would be upgrading from the Mark V Golf GTI to the Mark VI GTI or R.
I am just trying to get an idea how much a 2005-2009 model GTI is worth and if everyone thinks they will drop in price now that the Golf R has come out or because there will be a lot upgrading to the newer model GTI with the EOFY sales currently on.
I'll be looking at the manual version of the GTI most likely with leather and sunroof and I'm not quite sure what colour I'll be going for yet. I'm in no hurry to buy and it will probably be closer to the end of the year before I get one depending on the market.
On CarSales the majority of 2005-2006 manual GTIs are listed over $30,000 but seem to have been listed for at least a month or so and redbook is listing them at low 20s. The DSGs strangely seem to be mostly listed for about $5000 less than the manual versions.
I've seen a few advertised for low 20s come up every now and then. Do they sell a lot lower than private list price?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
