Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was told that the projected price was going to be around $34,500 plus on road. He actually said that was for the DSG version. I dont beleive him on that! No one can drive the 3 GTs here till june, which is when they are to be officially released.
              Cheers, Andrew

I got a quote today in Brisbane - I was quoted $37,500 driveaway. During our short test drive 2 people tried wanted to race lol. I guess it may have had something to do with that big TSI decal on the side of the car

I will will probably end up paying the extra $2300 for the DSG gearbox (same as the demo car today) so should be just over $40k with euro plates. Hopefully I don't wrap it around a tree or something as this will be my first car

Already advertising them in the AGE newspaper in Melb. Pushing the line good performance and gret fuel economy. Double page spread inside front cover of mag insert. Picture of a guy filling up the tank with a little glas jar half full of petrol.
