Just noticed a mention in a Wheels mag that GT will be priced at $38,490
If that's the RRP the for 3 door then for $1500 more you can have a GTI.
I know the GT is good, but $38990 doesn't sound like value to me.07 Golf GTI 3 door, Tornado red, 6 speed Manual
Red may be the devils colour, but this car is pure heaven

Pricing
The article states $34990 ... which is considerably better. Might go test one.Originally posted by datracer99 View PostJust noticed a mention in a Wheels mag that GT will be priced at $38,490

According to my tame VW salesman (who is being very nice to me at the moment as I recently brought a new T5 van from him and am also considering a new VW sedan or wagon), VWoA are only bringing in the 125Kw 1.4 petrol motor version, not the 125Kw TDI. He did say that they are going to put the 125Kw TDI motor into the Passat later this year (not sure if this replaces the current 104Kw TDI motor or is an extra option).Originally posted by phaeton View PostI wonder if GT TDI is coming ????
Also I have heard that Skoda may be bringing in the Octavia vRS models (including wagons ?) with either the 147Kw TFSI (ie Golf GTI petrol motor) and 125Kw TDI motors, supposedly for less money than the Golf GTI. Don't know how much less, and don't know when. They don't seem to be making much progress with their dealer network so far, so their planned Oct 2007 release date looks a bit optimistic to me. I'll keep hoping for a fast, reasonably priced VAG Golf sized wagon, even if it doesn't have a VW badge
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
