Be careful when removing the ashtray. Its best to disconnect the colored plugs from the "esp" and TPMS" switches aswell as the 12v cig lighter before removing the tray.

Otherwise you could pull the switch from the housing and risk losing the small plastic part that acts as a return spring for the switches.
