My wife and I have been umming and ahhing about R32s and GTIs for the past few weeks. We test drove them both, back to back, and loved them both...but which to buy. I really liked the turbo engine, and she the 6, and we both wanted the 4wd.
Well, Audi makes that car...so I thought we should visit them too. I tried a week or so ago, but when after 15 minutes in a showroom I couldn't get the slightest response (I lie, I asked for a car to be unlocked, and it was done from a distance...dunno by whom), I walked out without any interaction with a 'sales' person. I got nothing. No info. No pricing. No brochures. Did get bad taste in mouth.
Today I tried again. I thought they couldn't all be that bad. Surely. Well, they were. This time I got a rude so and so, who wouldn't give any straight answers, who never offered his name, and who started out by rubbishing the R32 (as I'd mentioned it). Oh, and the Audi DSG is way better. Dunno why...Fred the moron salesman from Doncaster said so.
I think I'll just place the R32 order and be done with it.
