Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

But if you want to do it cheaper just strip your interior, it's free.
Rip out carpet, A/C, Heater, seats etc..
Is it legal in nsw to have a stripped interior? i thought you would need an engineer's cert.

That sounds better.... wonder if anyone has one they can weigh as the weights I have found online are all different.

I would assume it is illegal in every state... excluding little things like carpet

I believe you can get the car re-registered as a 2 seater if you remove the rear seats but i don't know what else needs to be done.

Note, that might just be for QLD.

You can do this in victoria as well. You need to remove the seatbelts for some reason and then make sure you notify vicroads

Laxatives would probably net you another 200g weight loss.
going bulemic would also net you quite a big loss in weight lol.
