Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I'd say keep it!! If you ever decide to sell your car, put the original one back on and sell the performance exhaust._

Sounds bloody awesome under load though, when boost kicks in it sounds like an F16 taking off.. love it. More of a power increase than I expected too.. second gear is all wheel-spin now when before it was only for a little bit.
If you get the AFE make sure you have it heat shielded properly... I got to start looking for an intake now hmmmmmLast edited by adzy; 02-05-2010, 09:08 AM.

Yes mine is the RSC version. Getting the exhaust and filter from vividracing in the states through a friend already placing an order. It should be shielded pretty well and the bonnet encloses the pod.
I will have to wait till I get my tune before I fit them, APR or GIAC now that is the question. Then the sat nav and xenon retrofit. I thought i lost the modding bug with my Calais, NOPE I STILL GOT IT!!!!

Errrrrrrrr the fark'n modding bug!! Tell me about it! I thought I better not molest the GTI too much when I bought it as it was neat and near new but now I have totally screwed up that idea... you will never loose the bug but I love it, at least we are passionate about something that makes us damn happy. When you out accelerate a BF II Falcon XR8, the look on the owners face is priceless! Sorry XR8 guy!
