Wheel arch wing extensions - fitting 18's

Well, bloody brilliant. After a week and a half of organising and paying for a car inspection, getting freight costs from Adelaide to Sydney, agreeing to purchase the car, the stupid prick sold it to someone else. What a bloody waste of time. This has pissed me off more than getting hit by a 4WD on my motorbike 2 months ago. Now the car search begins again...

That can't be OEM rims. The 18s on my Pirelli or my mate's R32 doesn't stick out like that.

As already mentioned:

The only 18" factory option wheels on the GTI where the Karthum (spelling) which are 18 x 8" wide and required the wings due to the offset.

And as already mentioned:

I just checked and the Pirelli's are indeed 18X7.5 ... just an FYI really.

So they're not Pirelli wheels or R32 wheels - they're factory option wheels that were available as an upgrade to the GTI on purchase from the dealer. I saw a GTI with the same wheels the other day and they had the wheel arches as required.
