After speaking with Nick @ Denlo, he wasn't too happy that I was quoting forum based information. But if people are posting factual (we hope) information on there then for the life of me I can't understand why they wouldn't consider it. If anything, forums are probably the best database of information that manufacturers like Volkswagen can use and they don't have to pay a cent! Listen to the client Volkswagen! Put your pride away for two seconds and just accept that forums (when used correctly) can help you diagnose issues if not be used as reference points for future developments!
I have to agree. It's just another avenue for possibilities they could look at once they have run their course of diagnosis and can't find anything. Enthusiasts and their collective pool of knowledge is in invaluable source of information. To disregard that on their part is just pride.
I hope they get to the root. Nice of them to provide you with a loaner. What is it?
you guys will laugh... so the other day they (Denlo Volkswagen) hand me the keys to a MK6 TDI Golf... fair enough... then today they told me the car I had on loan was for 'short-term' use and were organising a loan car from 'Europcar'... fair enough... rubbing my hands together I'm thinking... Audi A3? VW Jetta? Audi A6 even?!?!?!
No... Ford Falcon XR6 (latest model)... hahahaha... came home with it and my wife gives me the WTF!!! To give you guys the bigger picture... we 'down sized' from a Ford Explorer because it was too big for my wife, she can't stand big cars... now they give me this... hahahahaha... I'm not complaining... at least VW Australia is paying for a loan car... but can't help but laugh...
Official word from Denlo Vokswagen is we have a cracked piston head. Which has lead to fragments floating around in the chamber causing internal damage to the cylinder head & engine block. Getting a new engine!!!!
