well i don't care anymore, because i've got a pirelli myself!!! hahahaha
Ended up paying 38000 and traded my car in for 25,000... the price was good imo. He pointed out a few things about my trade in car that needed to be fixed which was understandable... eg. damaged to the alloys (4 of them lol), which would cost $600 to fix apparently.... quite happy he didn't notice that my tires were close to being slick! which would cost $2000 to replace... so overall i'm quite happy.
One thing i was disappointed about was that he said the car would come with 1 year rego and ctp, but it doesn't it only came with what ever that is left on the car which was 4 months.Last edited by Guest; 04-03-2010, 09:23 PM.

Emails with questions don't really give an indication of sale. Chances are those buyers would look over the car and find the same things wrong that the dealer did, and offer less.... They may even find more (ie - the tyres)... and offer even less?
If you're happy with the deal you got at the dealer... then all good

well yeah thats very true...
But more troubles today!!! called rta today enquiring about transferring rego to NSW and they said i have to pay stamp duty! which supposely included in the deal!!! i really don't want to pay another 1k for the car, as budget is really tight.
If the dealer paid for stamp duty already, why do i have to pay again?

I think the dealer sells you the car without registration and stamp duty. Then you pay stamp duty and rego with RTA in NSW.Originally posted by den525 View Postwell yeah thats very true...

well the dealer did advertise drive away no more to pay... which included gov't stamp duty and transfer fee... this is also stated on the contract. "drive away price (including gov't. stamp duty and transfer fee, if applicable).
The car still have 4 months left of the registration.
On the RTA website... it stats "To be exempt Stamp Duty in NSW you must provide evidence that you paid stamp duty in the state in which the vehicle was previously registered. You must provide a current certificate of registration. If the certificate has been lost, an RTA motor registry can organise verification."
I don't know if that applies to me...
