I was thining it was sitting quite high in the pictures.

Debadging is best with warm/hot water over the badge and running fishing line back and forth behind it.

This is about the 7th car I've debadged so got it pretty down pat now. Fishing line works a treat.

I will have to take a trip to my folks house though to get some line as all my rods are still there. Still havn't brought them to our new place.

Hair dryer works also, then you just wriggle it off.

So i spoke to my dad today and he's got a free hoist tomorrow arvo so i can finally install the H&R's.

He's going to hang back and help me install them after work, SWEET!

So i got home tonight and decided the jetta needed a wash, which was all great until i discovered it has some sort of sap all over the bonnet and roof (GOD DAM IT!)

So looks like in the next week or so it will be getting it's first clay block.

Well the jetta is spending the night on the hoist.

Rear springs are in and the front left is all back together in the car, we just need to tighten all our bolts back up.

We run into a problem whilst doing the front though (Not having a big enough spline torx bit), so i'm sourcing one of them tomorrow so we can finish.

I'm hoping we might be able to get it all finish tomorrow night.

                  Good thread.

Good thread. I'm watching with baited breath (Whatever that means). I'm looking forward to seeing how the springs look. I love the de-badged look too.

Are you keeping the stock shocks?

                  Cheers.

You can run the h&r's with standard shocks as they are only 35mm drop,

I did want to go lower but now we have the 18's it will have a nice even gap all the way round only going 35mm.

Any lower than that an we would have had to of replaced shocks ect.

A 15mm spring would still lol to high IMO, def go for a 35mm spring.

I should have it finished tonight or if not tommorow night so I will post before and after shots with measurments once ccomplete.

We managed to get a bit more done tonight, but did run into some problems.

                      Here's some quick snaps

Rear springs in and ready to go

We ran into problems with the front right.
As the drive shaft is longer on the right side, we didn't have as much leverage down as we did on the left side. So we had to disconnect the drive shaft to be able to lower the disc to get the bottom end of the shock out.

We had another few hiccups but got there eventually.

Left side all sitting back in ready for all the final bolt tightening

So it should hit the ground tomorrow arvo once we do a final inspection of all of our nuts and bolts.

Watching this thread with particular interest. My Jetta will be copping the same springs in the near future. Love the OEM+ look.

                        Keep posting those pics.

Well guys the car is finally back on the ground.

I am really happy with end product. It sits and handles so much better.

I will be posting some pics up once I can get out and give it a wash hopefully this arvo.

Unfortunetly i didn't measure the front before doing the springs but I did on the rear so I will let you know exactually how much it dropped.

pfft you've almost done as many mods to the jetta as the bora and you've only had it 5 minutes haha.

Looks good mate. Thinking the 35mm drop is going to make the difference.

Well i finally got home at a decent time tonight to give the jetta a clean before taking some quick snaps.

                                Excuse the shocking photos,
The sun was dropping and i was loosing light quick.

A new camera is on my wish list so that i can take some nice industrial night shots.
