I own a 2008 jetta tdi is there anyone who can help me with some information on sports suspension for my car. I run 18 inch Passat alloys and would like to lower the car by + - 15 to 20 mm.
Do you want to change the shocks as well? or just lower it with lowering springs?
For springs H&R or Eibach are one of the better springs to get if you are just looking at springs. Neuspeed have a set with Koni FSD shocks.
I went for HPA KW SHS coilovers (available for Jettas also) which tend to keep the comfort of the stock setup allowing you to lower the car with a bit of extra performance.
Have a look at this thread, has different types of suspension, a good starting point. Not sure whether they will match the Jetta though.
Is the 30mm quoted based on the US or Aus/Eurocar height?
With American cars looking like 4x4 in stock form it wouldn't surprise me.
I'd expect the drop to be less than 30 if you're buying a kit that was intended for the US market (isn't eibach American?)
my pirelli is down 22mm from it's stock height and will occasionally rub.
