Hi,
I have only driven my new Jetta (118 TSI with 7SP DSG) for 800 kms. I have noticed when doing downhill the car will pick up speed. So to keep it within the speed limit, I apply brakes. When I apply brakes, the DSG will automatically drop to a lower gear. When this happens since the car is still in a higher speed than the gear chosen by the DGS, the revs to very high.
Revs remain high until either there is no longer a downhill and DSG will change to a higher gear or I press the accelerator to make it change to a higher gear.
Is this behavior normal / expected and am I doing the right things or I need to change something?
Please do share your experience / expertise with a new owner of such a sophisticated machine.
Cheers
