Yeah the sills give it a prestige feel as all expensive cars have them.

The other nice thing is that my red footwell lights reflect off the chrome which is visible with the doors closed.

I got my floor mats for free from Ozzy Park VW. I was saying to the parts guy how I wanted some carpet floor mats and he asked me what ones I had, I said the rubber ones. He asked if they were in good condition and then just swapped me! FREE!

Any experience with fitting.....

I really like that set up you have polarbear ... the scuff protectors along with the sill protectors, they look very classy, would look nice on a CW coloured GTI ...!

Were they easy to fit? Did they fit well? how did you fit them??

I have the same GT ones they come with 2way M3 tape along both long sides i just filled in both ends to stop any dirt or water entering under neath them.
