Yeah that's why I want some super bright parkers for when my lights arrive.. So they look more like DRLs

they look almost the same as the ones i am getting, but yours dont have the turning motors fitted.

did you get the xenon version or the halogens ?

Just bought from that warden guy based on OP feedback.

Can't wait to have better parking light look to the crappy front headlights.

It is a bit rice but with point to point cameras coming soon to WA I am glad I sold my low 11 second car for the TSI.

believe some are talking Aus spec. parker lights & others are on the US spec. parkers where located next to the turn-indicator.
Is there a slot for US style parker in Aus spec.

I got the Halogen version as it'd cost too much to make the Xenons legal. I CBF installing the auto levelling and washer system. I was also considering the Dynalook headlights (look identical to the Dynabeams but without the turning motor) but I preferred the black look..

LOL that was so confusing.. If you're talking about the location of the parker lights, all standard halogens have them in the high-beam lense and all Xenons have them in the bar below the main-beam..

PS. i've also changed this thread title to "General Light Discussion"

yeah, i noticed the title change.....

the dynabeams that i am ordering have auto levelling.
they use the existing range control motors to perform this function.

so, while they won't be 100% legal, they will only be missing the headlight washer system.
as to costs, the dynabeams will cost me about $1480 landed, and converted to HID.
i could possibly almost get the oem units for similar money second hand, but im not sure......
and they still wouldnt have the auto levelling, or the washers.

so as far as i can see, the dynabeams will be the better option (for my and my budget)

im not sure where the park globes go in the dynabeams (if they even have one) as they run the celis arch.

The Celis tube is the parking light.. So i'm sure you could probably change the bulb so more light is visible throughout the glass..

                            sounds good.

it's gonna take me a few months to save enough to get these lights, but i think the wait will be worth it....

now i have to figure out if my car has the highline CECM installed.
from what i have read, i will need the highline CECM in order to enable bi-xenons fitted. (to cancel the bulb out warning)

For those of you interested, I installed my halogen xenon replicas tonight.. Pretty straight forward although the screws falling in behind the bumper was annoying. Realligning the bumper to the tracks can be frustrating, too. Probably easier if you have 2 people but it is doable alone.

Output is pretty much the same although they were aimed a little too low. A long flat road (and that's freakin hard to find in Toowong) and a screw driver fixed that problem
