I would imagine that a large percentage of after market exhausts arent ADR compliant (noise-wise), so i suspect that organisers might be a bit lenient on the ADR compliancing side of things

I'm in - been waiting for years to match our cars up against jap & Aussie tuners, there is a good field of Evo's & Sti's going.
Will be excellent to see any form of current VW / Audi out there!
They have twin turbo HSV's & XR8's entered as well.....
Our cars are fully compliant & fit within the rules, so no problems there.
As with any modifications, they require your registration requirements are met for each state where the cars originate from.
Our biggest problem is getting them to Sydney in time! Who knows anyone with a 2 or 3 car carrier?

Different states have different laws in regards to modfications.
here is a basic ruling and guide from Vicroads.
basically you read it, in regards specifically to a turbo, any turbo other than manufacturer requires a certificate.
A few thing people don't worry about , how ever you get pulled over by
the wrong person who has a axe to grind, they will pick thing wrong with a totally stock car.
here is another good link.
I believe in QLD its much easier to do mods as long as you get a blue label on your car..

i'm sure G-rig and Maverick will be happy to take one of your cars down for u!
Something tells me the po-po will be hiding behind the bushes at the track with a thick stack of canaries to hand out after the event!!!

Yeah, Driving down might be an option yet.
QLD rules as far as I know are about the same as NSW & VIC. I know Canberra & WA are a little different. There is thriving engineering business's in place to asses these things & approve modifications!
Mind you, normally aspirated cars fitted with turbo's & superchargers running, I don't think it will be a big issue.roll cages, aftermarket seats (I'm sure some of the Jap tuners might be running them) a lot more mods than just engine only.

Don't know of any other VW's apart from the other R32, hence the invite.
Driving done by Pro's - that way, same driver, same track, same day - all their own data gathering material & measurement devices.
Also makes the chance of vehicle damage minimal - someone who has done 5000 laps of Oran Park is better than me, I have done about 12 laps there

Your pretty safe, and as Guy said earlier these folks are Oran Park professionals and have probably handled cars worth 10-15 times as much as most of the MKV's on here.
So yeah, this sounds bloody fantastic and I'd love to see some dubs tear some falcadores and skylines to tiny bits80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html

it will be very tough against R35 GTR who ever will put theirs up. No doubt haltech will as i think they have tuned theirs, but I think theirs is a Jap import.
