  • Replacing the whip aerial

Unfortunately someone has had a go at ripping the aerial off my R32. I hasn't come off, but they've done a little bit of damage to the roof, and the sealing strip is sitting slightly proud of the roof. It's going to have to be pulled down somehow or other, and I presume that will mean partially releasing the headlining to get at it.

Anyway, if we're going to have to go to that trouble, I was wondering about replacing it with a shark fin, as that would cover the damaged spot nicely.

Has anyone had this done by a dealer (or some other service mob) in Melbourne. I'm not handy enough to take this on.

Maybe try Eurostyle Bodymaster in West Melbourne? Admittedly a panel beater but I had my Golf there recently and very happy with the quality of repair... Drop me a PM if you want their details.

I've found their details, and will consider that option after we've spoken to VW. The car was already booked in for service this week anyway.
