Haha, awesome, I reckon the plan from now is chip the GT. hang onto the SP til summer and see how i go. Im actually keen to do one of the Honda track days and thrash a CBR1000 with ABS to see how it goes b4 i buy anything.

Best ive heard so far was 19k total for an R1, I've never been a fan of the kwakas, and have been loving the twin. I had an 05 R1 before it which i did 30,000km on, but be hard to go back to an I4 from the SP1, hence the 09 R1 thoughts.

That growl is addictive as hell.

I have bought a GTI Pirelli. I was informed that all the remaining new Pirellis in Australia come with rear parking sensors, so you need to factor that into the price that you manage to negotiate. Stocks are low, but I think around $45K (new) for the 5-door is what the good negotiators should be able to achieve.
