Not complaining just surprised that the 'smaller' cars cost more to insure.
Surely its not because they are a smaller car, but because the parts cost more and they require more specialised repair if they break?

Dont go with NRMA though, anyone else is better. I`d go Shannons or AAMI.

I wouldn't use Shannon's and AAMI in the same sentence! AAMI are shocking to deal with, use the cheapest repairers who do poor work and are not all that interested in fixing the problems they cause.
Shannons on the other hand seem to be highly regarded.
