thanks for the info.
as my second hand golf did not come with any mats, ill be looking for a set shortly, but did NOT want rubber ones.
i think i will be buying the carpet ones from the ebay seller i linked to in an earlier post.
they look good (to me) and have the VW logo embroidered on them.

Got a quote for Mats $240 for the front + something for the rears (I dont remember it was awhile ago).
they are anthracite (Grey) and have GOLF embroidered on the front pair

Just a note, make sure the mats that you get are RHD... mats from the US are LHD only and you can't swap them around.
I've looked into getting the "monster" (rubber) mats from the US, but it won't fit RHD cars.
The one you linked to on Ebay is LHD, so don't bid on that one
