The Jetta just based on looks is a little wider than the Golf. I was infront of a Jetta this morning and for the first time saw one with xenons. Apart from the different chromed grille, you'd think it would be indistinguishable from an R32. I could pick it *easily*.

So to interchange a grille from a Golf would require modification. Doubtful it would be covered under insurance.
It is actually exactly the same front end - the only "additional" cost is spraying the grille, and the bumper needs doing anyway.....
Jetta 2.0TFSI, Black, DSG, Leather, Bi-Xenons...... Loving it!!

Depends which Golf. The only grill piece that fits on the Jetta is the one from the GT models.

Any other model and it's only the slats that are interchangeable (other than R32, of course).

I am pretty sure the GTI grille is a straight swap as well (which I guess is technically a 'GT' model )

Oh yeah of course! I forgot to mention that.. I saw a white TFSI Jetta the other day with one and it looked really hot.

The grille on the Jetta (the slatted part) is a chromed version of the GT.
The "shield" (the number plate is bolted to this) is a chromed version of the GT (body colour on the GT, black on the GT Sport).
The GTI has a combined grille & shield and fits the same openings as the Jetta & GT.
The Jetta has a chrome lower grille surround, the GT is body coloured.
The GTI is black with a honeycomb insert. They are all interchangeable.
The outer grilles on the Jetta have a chrome trim on the upper edge, the GT is black plastic. Both of these interchange with the GTI's honeycomb grilles and the R-line grilles (NOT the R32 grilles). The R-line grilles (AFAIK) are not available locally (try TM Tuning &c).
The R32 front can be fitted to the Jetta, but is a full swap of grill, shield, outers, bumper and stuff underneath (bumper stuff, that is).

                Edit:
                Have a look on https://www.1stvwparts.com/partscat.html
There's some line illustrations of the parts you'll need.
You'll be able to compare them visually, and get some idea of their relative prices (in US$)
