Hi Im getting sick of other drivers flashing their high beams at me, I didnt opt for the Bi-Xenon headlights. When Im due for my first service I will get them to make sure my headlights arnt pointing up further than what they are suppose to. Has anybody else had the same problem I mean its beyond the joke in a 20min trip ill get flashed about 3 or 4 times.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If that doesn't help you might consider getting it fixed sooner rather than later- you are obviously dazzling the cr@p out of everyone in front of you if you are getting flashed that much2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

Perhaps I'm affected by Jeremy Clarkson's complaints about the headlights being high. I wonder if it results from the suspension being lowered?

The bi-xenons don't come with an adjustment switch as they should be self leveling.
That said I have been flashed a few times ..... especially driving from Perth to Bendigo and back for the BUG-IN at Easter. Of an evening even the B Double trucks would often dip before me. The light coverage across the country was brilliant ... pardon the pun.

Perhaps you have to adjust them manually on the actual headlight cluster..
E.g. go to a long flat dark road and see what's best (if you're unhappy with the way they're set up)..2002 Volkswagen Bora V5 - 2007 Mazda 3 GT - 1998 Ford Contour Sport - 2010 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0T - 2013 Volkswagen Passat 130TDI - 2015 Ford Escape 1.5 - 2016 Subaru WRX - 2018 Volkswagen Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon

the driver side is lower so not to dazzle oncomers and the passenger side is higher (and turned out more) to illuminate the kerb.
I occasionally get flashed when I have them set high. I change mine regularly depending on how well lit and how busy the area is.

He correctly pointed out that Bi-xenons don't have an adjustment, which, as ChrisR32 notes, is in fact relevant information. I, for example, was not aware of that Bi-Xenons are self levelling. Chill.
Back on topic, yes check the adjustment. I also have mine set on 1 not -/0 for night driving. Yes, I think lowered suspension will make a difference as well, since the angle between your lights and the road has changed and you probably should check the lights to accommodate.
