R32 and RNS510

Good morning everyone.

I am getting an R32, hopefully soon. I test drove a couple and absolutely loved it.

The question I have at the moment is, would the RNS510 fit the MY06 models? Somehow, I get the impression that it doesn't.

PS: Wifey already drives a Golf, so technically I am already part of the VW family.

It should fit straight in, I'm pretty sure you'll find that all MK V VW head units are interchangeable

I think jb747 has the RNS510 in his 06-ish R32.

I think jb747 has the RNS510 in his 06-ish R32.

Mine is an MY08 R32, delivered in late 07.

I don't think there are any issues fitting the RNS to any of the Mk V R32s.

I think there is an issue about the can bus in older models. You should search the forums. It is able to overcome but you need to get a conversion kit or something. I'm sure someone else will be able to add more info.
