I purchased a brand new Golf 2.0 TDI from South Yarra VW in March 2007. When I have had the car serviced or repaired (at South Yarra or other VW dealers), I have noticed that the purchase date for the vehicle listed in the VW computer system is October 2006, not March 2007. Therefore, as far as VW is concerned, my warranty will expire less than 3 years after I purchased the vehicle.
I spoke to the service manager at South Yarra VW when I first noticed this discrepancy shortly after I purchased the vehicle and was told that an error had been made in data entry and that this error would be rectified. Two years later, it still hasn't been fixed.
I recently sent several e-mails to both service and sales e-mail addresses at South Yarra VW asking again for their mistake to be fixed and for somebody to call me with an update, but these requests have been totally ignored.
What should I do next, if South Yarra VW don't seem to be interested in looking after their customers?
