Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Its actually the second time it has been listed up for sale. First time it went for 12k, but now its back. They must want more for it...

All depends how high the water has gotten. Judging by the pics, below the cubby hole since the owners manual is perfectly fine. They can also turn the key and get a speedo reading. So it might be ok. But if some douch bag drove that through the water, then it might have mechanical damage...

    Luck of the draw really...

Want to wipe out a computer so nothing ever works again....dip it in salt water. Best way to stop people getting any infio off a hard drive.

Don't touch a thing on that ..unless you want trouble.

I wouldn't rely on that to do anything, the data will still be there and able to be recovered. Far better ways to destroy hard drives and one of them is shredding them.
