I like the cruise control how you can 'de-accelerate' with the same button.
Didn't have this on the i30. Instead I would have to cancel it, adjust my speed then re-set it.

After driving it on a reasonable trip today, I love:
      - the handling! Feels like it is on rails. Not so much as the GT sport of course, but its extremely surefooted on the road. Its a nice feeling knowing you've got a car that can handle properly

      - the grunt! Overtook two cars doing 90 in a 100 zone in sixth gear. Naturally they both planted the accelerator and would have been doing atleast 110km/h, but that didn't matter because I was already passed...hehe

      - the feel! Whether it be changing gears, closing/opening doors, opening the boot, parking the car, doing a 3 point turn, the car just feels perfect. No clunks, no bangs, no smoke and no hassles!

      God I love my Golf...lol

        I think I'm officially a VW Convert.

Now I just need the hat + shirt and I'll be right.

                Auto dipping left mirror

In this thread it was mentioned that the left mirror can dip automatically in reverse. My 08 GTI doesn't do this - is it possible to turn it on?

I think (but aren't certain) that this only works if you have electric seats (with memory ? ). A search will probably find a few relevant posts to confirm (or deny) what I remember.

i think you need factory park sensors for dipping mirror to work.

yep that wat the dealer said.

i was just wondering if it would work if it was just vagcomed to the car but it does not appear to.

Definitely 100% you have to have the reverse PDC to get this to work.

I've got the parkers, but no dip? Is there a setting you need to turn on somewhere?

With my Jetta, I had to set it in the MFD to auto dip on reverse. Then you have to make sure the mirror knob is switched to the L position for the dipping to work. If you have the mirror at 0, it doesnt dip.

Do you have genuine factory fitted sensors or do you have overpriced dealer fitted non genuine $30 sensors sold for $800+ installed crap?
