My problem is that my golf does not run as it should. I've described the problem twice, and even suggested a TSB that might be relevant (low pressure fuel pump), as suggested on another vw forum. Yet they have been unable to do anything with it, since they don't have any failure code.

My problem is described here; http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4041913

If you can demonstrate the problem to them during a drive I doubt that they would need to see a "failure code". If it is an intermittent problem that dosn't throw a code then that is much more difficult to diagnose and therefore fix.

IIRC the low fuel pressure problem is only on the 2.0 TFSI engine and does usually throw a code, so seeing as you have a 2.0 FSI engine it is possible you have a different problem.

I've scanned Mr Pivot's car, and there are indeed no error codes. He has one of those nightmare intermittent problems that sounds "weird" to me!
