GTI with VF Engineering RSR kit Build Thread

So here is one of the VF kits we have been working on.

Had some advice from Lucas. didn't bother using the Piston rings VF supplied.
had some custom made ones with Lucas's specification.
From this. RSS kit



in comes the RSR internals. Rods and Pistons.







"stock" engine comes out and apart.







the Rods and Pistons go in.

comparing S3 injectors with RSR injectors



VF FMIC. also using the stock intercooler. VF supplied the pipes to make use of both of them.







Car is currently on the road but is still in testing to get optimal performance. Once it has been tuned properly,it will go on the dyno.

oh nice work, but how can you tune a chip? i thought it was suited to the car and thats it, not true?

That is normally the case, but I think they are working on a custom map for this car.

GIAC can give custom tunes to suit the driver or owner

what we've been doing is logging data from the car, then sending if off to GIAC and they come back with a new tune. easy.
thats what i call service

i looking forward to seeing the numbers from this thing, will be nuts, best of luck with it all.

i'll put money on seb not having any issues with any figures it produces, no matter where you put the bloody IT probe.

Yes, i plan to Dyno it on normal fuel.
and yes i plan to dyno it PROPERLY.
as a daily tune, not some one time wonder with everything turned up to the max.

Lol stop complaining APR boy :, its better to have people sharing their threads and cars than keeping them to themselves. Its good to see the different approaches the different chip manufacturer's are taking when they develop their high power set-ups.
