Oh I was quoted $4200 for bodykit painted and fitted. I will give it a miss at that price.

Leave the kit alone, and get the 18's ! You won't regret it!

A Jetta TFSI or Passat 3.2 to replace the Bora eventually me thinks. The TFSI would be oh so quick once chipped. Only part I am not so sure on with the Jetta is the front look and no 4motion, but meh it probably grows on you !

Colour is a very personal choice, but I find the Jetta a bit bland in White.
Silver is a classic, easy to keep clean, and does not show the scratches.
I think the most popular Jetta colour, followed by Graphite and Black.
I love the Platinum Grey, maybee because it is the new colour in the range.
Mine is Silver, and I just love it.
Smart combination with all the chrome trim.

Don't get Graphite blue if you are in Brisbane, there are enough of them already!!!

I really like the white on the TSIs, just the extra paint on the bumpers makes them look really good I feel. That said the silver would be the next choice.

I went the graphite blue, but I don't have a life, so I can wash it and wax it etc a lot. After seeing a few, the white would have been the #2 option for sure.

PS, at $2k or whatever it is for a 1inch upgrade for wheels, I dare say you could do a lot better... It really urks me how much they charge for that option. They keep the 17s, probably charge some fool $2k upgrade from 16s, then charge you $2k for the 18s... To me, its a rort.

I agree. I wouldnt mind paying $2k for 18"s with tyres if I get to keep my 17"s!! I wonder how much the Charlestons are if you buy then on their own? That way you could sell your original wheels and the money helps offset the new rims.

i would bet the charlestons are about $600 per rim. then add tyres.
i did some chasing when we bought our polo gti... upgraded with the R-Line 17's on it.. got to keep the originals as the R-Lines weren't ready when we picked up the car (got them a month later) and was told by various dealers that the price of the original wheel for the polo is between $500-550 per rim.

I went in to buy a black car with beige leather, saw the graphite blue and changed my mind.Graphite it was and no regrets.

In regards to wheels you can get replica Charlestons from tempetyres in Sydney. Delivered with kumo tyres for about 1400 to brisbane. Guess what you can keep your 17s too.

Thanks for that link. You need to remove a couple of // though.

Those RIMs do look good. I wonder if you can get the original VW centre caps and use them with these wheels?

I would just keep the 17's the tyre price jump (Just think you can burn through tyres and not worry so much) and probably you cant put snow chains on the 18's would deter me. Unless you had a spare set.

                          Hi Guys,

I decided to go with White. It looks good and saves me a bit of money that I can spend on tinting and the AVC 9000.

Placing the order tomorrow. Very excited

Are there any must have accessories for thet Jetta?

I am thinking of getting the rubber boot liner. the Dealer wants about $160 for theirs but I found one on eBay for $99 + shipping. Looks good too http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Volkswagen-Je...1%7C240%3A1318

Have you had a look around at your local SuperCheap or auto accessories supplier yet ? A lot of the rubber boot liners have all sorts of lines marked on them so you can cut them out to be a very good fit for your boot. Cheaper than a VW dealer or overseas too, most likely.
