Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You should be asking the guys doing the tune.
However, do not buy the cheapest downpipe. Get something branded, CTS, IE etc Not Empire.
HPFP, there's not much choice. Autotech, 034 from memory.

For downpipe, you just need one that suits a Mk5 GTI. The Pirelli has a larger k04 turbo, but the downpipes are interchangeable. The absolute cheapest I would recommend would be xforce. All the super cheap ones (sub <$500) are absolute garbage and will crack at the welds and most dont have a catalytic converter either so they are illegal.

For HPFP, depending on your budget you can just upgrade the internal parts of your existing HPFP (cheaper option) or you can buy a whole new HPFP unit with the upgraded internals already fitted. I had the Autotech on my car and it was good. Ive got a DIY guide if you need it.
