  • Has anyone had good experiences with Autopolar2 ? (new owners of Polar FIS)

    Fun Fact.

Polar FIS was until recently supported via the www.autopolar.net website
Now Polar FIS has a new website called www.autopolar2.com.

I was lucky enough (I am being sarcastic) to buy a Polar FIS that was probably supplied via autopolar2.
Problem is that all their user manuals still directed the hapless buyer to the www.autopolar.net website - to download the latest Installer Tool.
However this version of the Installer Tool did not work (as I was at the wrong website).
So my Polar FIS menu has never materialised on my MFD+

After many tech support posts and e-mails to non-existent www.autopolar.net tech support people (they had been sacked by the new autopolar2 owners) I was told to try heading to www.autopolar2.com. Yes this site had the latest Installer Tool and this installer was able to connect to my Polar FIS - and update its firmware to the latest version (a prerequisite to getting the Polar FIS menu working)

However before I could re-install the Polar FIS into my Jetta, the new firmware (after confirming that it was installed and was the latest version) then promptly bricked my Polar FIS device. So now the Installer Tool can no longer connect to the Polar FIS device. The Polar FIS device is dead (like a dead parrot).

After my many posts to the www.autopolar.net tech support people - it also seems someone has tweeked that there were two Polar FIS websites operating concurrently - and now they have taken the www.autopolar.net website down.

However I still have a few screenshots to proved autopolar.net was up and running on 30th May 2023.

Anyway, hopefully the www.autopolar2.com dudes are as good with their customer service as the www.autopolar.net dudes were. I have read many happy story posts in forums about the good customer service that autopolar.net had provided in the past.

Any feedback on the www.autopolar2.com dudes would be appreciated

    Cheers for now.

I can't access either website now. I've had firmware issues withy PolarFIS in the past though. Seems to be stable now. Luckily I've still got a copy of the updater tool.

Sent from my Samsung Smart Fridge

The new website is now working again. Hopefully things will get back on track for this product.

Did you get any resolution to this issue? I’m in the same shoes at the moment, updated firmware successfully and the device crashed. TIA
