  • R32 rear alignment settings

Do any of our suspension experts know what the alignment settings are supposed to be at the rear end of the R32? Camber, toe in/out, caster?

A follow up on this one. Having worn out the rears in rather less time than I'd expected (and with the fronts still in pretty good shape), I was suspicious of just how the car might have been set up. I know they carry a fair bit of negative camber, and that will wear them too, but when the car was 4 wheel aligned, the rear toe setting was changed quite dramatically from the delivered setting whilst all of the other settings were very close to the 'as delivered' numbers.

Well, it turns out that the alignment was incorrect, and it was set up with way too much toe in on the rears. It has been put back to where it should be (and checked on two machines), and it's now sitting on a new set of tyres (not helped by the tyre fitting mob). I'm left with two mounted tyres which are in fair shape (I have two sets of wheels), and a couple that aren't much good at all. Anyway, I'm probably now well protected against those occasional nails.....
