Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

hmmm what is this rotor warp u speak of? If I get squeeking or any issues I just do some high speed stops and clean that stuff up!

I got into that habit after reading the bed in procedure for my pagid blue brake pads on the subaru... drive to 200-0.. 150- 0 then 4x 80-0.

          17"

I am probably going to go to a lightweight 16" at some point with semi slick race tyres like my old subaru had.

Thats exactly how not to bed pads.
You should never come to a complete stop when bedding pads and i fail to see where the procedure you read says 200-0, 150-0 & 4x 80-0.

Thats what came on the slip of paper with the pads.

Maybe they have watered it down because people were doing it on the streets. but It said that the best way was to do that on a closed track.

on your website it gives almost the same description

                "Bedding In At High Speed

1 brake application with medium to high pedal pressure from approx 110mph to 50mph
                without allowing wheels to lock.

Allow 3-4 recovery brake applications with light pedal pressure.

Repeat high speed applications including recovery applications another 2-3 times."
