Unfortunately there is no requirement to have a reasonable IQ before you drive so we have roads full or morons deciding that lights are on high beam when they are in fact being operated correct.

Sorry Maverick but with all due respect not everyone is a moron that flashes their lights.

Whether the assembly and technology are working, if the lights are impeding peoples night vision then maybe the Australian standards need reviewing.

I accept that some people may not have their vision affected and just flash because they think the lights are on high beam. Surely though safety for all road users is the highest concern and if some are negatively affected by these lights then it must be investigated.

Also, I noticed recently when parking near a wall in an underground carpark that both my lights shine up and out to the sides at the same angels. Shouldn't the right one be more to the centre and down a bit? I can understand now why I am being constantly flashed, in the day too.

I'm having the lights checked next week so some of the comments here have been useful.

With my Xenons, the passenger side light aims higher and the beam spreads much farther to the left than the drivers side headlight. Against a wall, the beam of the passenger side is higher by at least 15cm and spreads well out onto the pavement when driving.

You VW workshop should have a Light guage that you shine the lights into to direct the correct height and direction for the lights, and if they arn't in the right spots, they should be adjusted accordingly. ALL lights can and have to be made to be adjusted.
