I have a 2006 Golf R32 with Zolder alloys, the previous owner gave me the wrong torque adapter for the wheel nuts, do these nuts vary from car to car or are they all standard?? Are they a standard torque adaptor size?

Do you mean a socket or locking bolt socket?
Socket is 17mm, the locking socket is specific to your wheel bolt you have on your car and the are probably 20 different shapes for your year/model.
