I read what was said as meaning did the increased power output cause the turbo to prematurely self destruct or was it a coincidence and not "revo killed my engine".

easy there dont talk about flaming when you just flamed me.

posted it because it happened and people in this thread are talking about getting a revo chip. its up to them what they think of it.

I was merely pointing out that while you said you didn't want to fuel speculation, that's exactly what you did. Since causation could equally apply to the brand/grade of oil being used or the size of the driver's foot etc, etc, I assumed you may have had other motives. If that's wrong, I apologise

I wish I'd got the BiXenons now with all the night driving I'm doing. Standard haolgens seem to have rubbish spread. Have to have a play with them I think as its actually a bit dangerous not being able to see where you're turning on low beam.

Don't hold your breath. Mine's developed one on the passenger side of the car, its more of a knocking. One behind the driver in the B pillar and one in the roof. Not too worried yet as they only occur randomly and cured by more music/windows down. Not too bad tho - certainly seen much worse noises in brand new vehicles and mine have only developed after 2800km!

mine has a few minor rattles, then I manned up, and it's all good.

If you don't like the stock headlights a bulb upgrade to Osram Nightbreakers is an awesome Mod. I'm very happy with mine. Maverick pioneered the idea on MKV.com, and there are posts on here about it if you search.

MUCH whiter and better visibility, especially when you need it.

I went with the Phillip Xtreme Bulbs and the difference is well worth the money

That said all of us have bought them from overseas (powerbulbs.com) but I have recently found out that Subaru Australia sell the Phillips Xtreme bulbs locally.

Worth a look, might be cheaper?

The Osrams are really good and I put a cheap set of projector fogs on the GTI with a HID kit and set them to reflect up a bit and they work great as an extra fill light, not quite a spot but not bad for the money.

Yeh found that. But my issue is not going to be fixed by new bulbs unless the bulbs are positioned slightly differently, even then the results aren't guaranteed.

I'm thinking it will be easier to adjust the dark patches out of them.
