Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

You probably should consider yourself lucky if that's the only thing making you like that, others have more important things to worry about and yours is easily fixed by fitting the VW/Skoda bluetooth.

BTW what is a $43,000 premium car?? Is this a magical car that has every feature?
The Golf is a premium small/medium car. I could have bought a Mazda 3 or a Ford Focus and had it standard (and have paid less)! The bloody button is right there on the steering wheel! I take comfort in knowing that bluetooth sucks and many people never get it to work properly anyway.:p

Just talk to Dean at Volkspower (Vic) or Guy at Harding Performance (Bris), then you can have a fantastic VW bluetooth which uses the RNS, MFD and steering wheel buttons with voice recognition on the bluetooth unit.

      Fantastic service from both gentlemen.

Then you will find the problemd with the bluetooth phones

And you would have a gotten a car with a different features and attributes. I find it hard to believe that you would choose one car other another just because of bluetooth.

As MrX posted below get the VW/Skoda bluetooth fitted or fit it yourself and your rant can be over and you can move on.

Its not worth the $$. And i would barely use it.

But its still an outrage that it is not fitted as standard.

If the MkV didn't drive as nice as it did, well, I'd probably be in one of the other cheaper cars around. I still kick myself when I look at the figures on paper. Thankgod all is forgotten when I grab the keys.

So why whinge about it then. Do you whinge that you don't have backseat side airbags? The lack of a automatic park brake? The lack of a reversing camera? Vibrating seats?

But its still an outrage that it is not fitted as standard.
And the price would go up, you just said you would barely use it!

I feel sorry for you that you can't enjoy the GTI, perhaps you'd be happier with a Hyundai

I have picked flaws in just about every car I've been in. Sometimes they're bad, sometimes they're what makes the car special. You do understand that a person can have dislikes of something but still thoroughly enjoy it, yeh?

And just to say it again because I like doing so, the worst bit about my VW is its value for money.

You got it at a fraction of the price because you didn't get the wanker-stigma attached to those other marquee's badges.

Did I get stiffed? Maybe I should have bought a Hyundai Accent .. sure they don't have these either.. but hey .. it costs a LOT LESS!!

How did you get the backseat side airbags when they're not offered in Australia in the Golfs?

lol you guys quit your bitching and buy a bluetooth headset; its better because then not everyone in your car hears what you say plus if you have tinted windows you wont even look like an M3 driver
