  • What is required to swap a Jetta cluster with a GTI one?

What are the exact components/coding required to swap the clusters? I am not fussed about full or half-height MFDs.

I have an MY07 Jetta with the half-height MFD, so happy enough to swap it with an MY06/07 GTI one if it requires less work.

The immobilizer is in the cluster.
So you need specialized tools like AVDI or FVDI to copy the immobilizer block from the old cluster to the new one, and possibly need to program new ID48 transponders to match the new cluster if it is NEC based instead of the older Micronas controller.
