cheap source for vw airbag badges with pics

hey guys

in my budget resto of a neglected jetta i've been buying a lot from ebay china and aliexpress and now dhgate

if you are after a replacement badge for whatever reason, these are pretty good, perfect fit, the finish is pretty good too, some very light scratching on the alloy surface which can be hand polished out if you care. but from looking my damaged original badge it has fine scratches in the alloy, it must be how they knock off the paint on the embossed part of the badge ?

I know you can get stickers for $10 bucks from ebay, but they dont look right to me...

Any tips for removal / install?

no probs dude, they're pretty damn close to original I wonder if they supply VW lol

its a pain to remove you want to try and wriggle the tangs out but you gotta mangle it to get the old one out. take a look at the picture on dhgate of the bakc of the logo to see the little tangs that retain it. I had to get pliers to pull the remaining metal tangs out of the airbag cover, be sure you get the whole bit out or you wont be able to get the new logo in. I just wriggled back and forth.

to install the new logo just push the whole thing in firmly with your thumbs and the little tangs will lock in I had to keep going around and around the logo with my thumbs to get it in.
