Engine Mount Replacements
Hi All, I'm finally getting around to replacing the engine mounts in the Polo as they are pretty well sh%gged at 140,000ks, for years i've been putting up with a slight knocking sound coming from the drivers side door area, I figured it was the strut tops but I think engine mounts are more likely the...Last edited by flat6; 08-04-2024, 12:05 PM.

B7 TDI - high mileage - when to replace + EGR cost?
Morning all,
I've had my MY14 B7 TDI pretty much since new. It's now up to 170k. It's been pretty reliable - from memory I've had some suspension stuff (replaced with Bilsteins), a water pump failure around 90k so they also did the timing. It's had the engine warning light on for a while...

9n gti on gravel
Currently on a roadtrip. Today I ended up on Bobeyan Rd heading up from somewhere near Tharwa into the Snowy Mountains — lots of glorious whooshy turbo noises! — but unfortunately after the initial good bits there was ~40km of gravel, something I'd not tried in this car before.
The...

Independent service in the Western suburbs of Melbourne
Hi. My 2017 Tiguan is just about to turn over 100,000k, and main dealer service is getting pretty expensive. I'm in Newport; does anyone have a recommendation for an independent service centre near me?Last edited by Lucas_R; 17-03-2023, 11:33 AM.

Best brand of waterpump for 6R
Hi all, coolant leak probably means I'm up for my 3rd waterpump in 4 years. I think the last 2 were aftermarket. Has anyone had any success with finding a waterpump that lasts the distance? I hear GEBA is pretty good. My mechanic has also suggested I just get a new car, cause this one will keep blowing...

Door pocket linings
Some may think I'm mad (and probably rightly so) but one of the small things that annoyed me with the T-Roc was the lack of any kind of lining in the door pockets, glove box etc.
I hate rattles with a passion, and the lack of anything soft to line them made things that shouldnt make any...

The Unicorn T5 Caravelle 3.2 V6 4Motion!
Hi Everyone,
After some research today I was shocked to learn of the existence of a T5 Caravelle with a similar drivetrain to the the R32 being a 3.2 VR6 with AWD. How hard are these to track down and how much would they be selling for? From what I can tell they are pretty rare but would love...

R36 - Worth Getting a Tune
Hey team,
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but is a tune for an R36 remotely worth it?
I'm thinking the DSG tune itself and leave the ECU alone as it's pretty highly strung from the factory however increasing the revs a touch to act a bit more like a normal auto would...Last edited by Matt86; 16-06-2020, 10:19 PM.
