19" rims in Mk5 Golf??

You can actually fit 19 x 9.5 on the front with a +48 offset no problems with 235/35 rubber. Many have done it

i have 8.5 on the front with +50 and mine are right up against the suspension. i think this is one of those have to see it to believe it things lol...

I'd be careful....

I have BBS CK on mine 19x8" ET44 with Conti 3s and they rub without much effort.

BTW - I was sure the VMRs were 19x8.5 with ET48

fronts would be flush but rear you'd have poke of about 20mil

Here is a pic showing the guard clearance on my GTI with standard wheels and suspension a couple of years ago.
Not a real lot of room there.

My 18s touch on rough corners when driving it hard. That is with Koni coilover suspension and dropped about 40 m/m

sure they're not 19x8.5? they definitely dont look like 9.5. and also from the company you said they're not available in 9.5...

Yes mate they are 8.5 with a +48 offset. My apologies to all....Had a brain fart so checked today when I had the wheels rotated front to back...As i said sorry guys. However still can't find anything better looking for a MKV...my opinion of course.

i dont really agree with that. The tyre looks completely different. Youre either slightly stretched or youre ballooned. I think slightly stretched looks much nicer. Only problem is the lack of rim protection.

225 on 7" is a balloon. 235 on 7" is even worse. 225 on 8.5 feels and handles better.
