  • Spark leads for a Bora AUE V6 engine - any aftermarket options?

    Hiya folks,

Dealing with a misfire and I believe one of my leads are shot. My bora is the oldskul AUE coil pack version.

I know I can buy them individually from VW, but they are expensive and I'd prefer to replace all of them at once. No use having to wait for the next lead to fail in x amount of time.

Anyone bought any lead sets for these cars? What kind of brands are out there, where'd you get them from and how much did it cost?

    Appreciate any help here.

    Thanks!!

        Ohh mate you are godscend!

What other brands of aftermarket spark plug leads exist? I've found Beru, Bremi, Bougicord - any other brands to look at?

        How would you rate Intermotor?

I've found a few sites and places where I can these brands - what would you recommend?

if your looking to buy from an australian supplier you may be limited as the above brands may not all be importing these items.

Fantastic. Cheers for that! I wasn't sure if there are any serious differences between the brands.

As for sourcing - well it's going to be an interesting game for sure. Found one seller on ebay who sources intermotor but I need to contact him to see if he can get his hands on the right intermotor ones - thankfully the intermotor site is very handy and i could chase down a part number. The rest of the brands would need to be likely forward posted so it could be a few weeks away.

Personally, I'm just happy to find aftermarket parts for this car and engine. Usually I struggle to find any, irrespective if they're imported into the country or not!
